Name: Ryann Bosetti
Occupation: Hair Stylist, Model, Creative Director
Wearing: Margiela t-shirt, April 77 jeans, Frye Motor Boots, and a Men’s vintage vest.
We met Ryann at the DUST photo shoot a few weekends ago and she mentioned she was a hair stylist. We went to visit her at the newly located 220 Salon for a cut today and what Ryann forgot to tell us was that she is a hair goddess! We LOVE our new do. We also love Ryann’s look and everything about it. Her style made me think of her as one of those “I just rolled out of bed and I look better than you” sort of look. We LOVE her top, it’s amazing!

TheĀ wall was picked up at an estate sale from some older woman who had bought it in the 70’s and kept it wrapped up for safe keeping. 220 Salon uses it in their spacious loft style space as a dividing wall.

If you haven’t been here, your missing out on some amazing hair dressers! Check out their website!

Tumbleweed is a cozy, colorful, sizable boutique located at 1812 NE Alberta next to Tiger Tiger Salon. Kara, owner and designer, has run the shop since she opened it in Spring of 2000 and for the past three at this location. The shop was located just three doors down from it’s current location. Kara has two cute, friendly assistants Susan and Lesley who you may also see around the shop.

Kara is the designer behind the line Kara-Line. She was so kind to show us a SNEAK PREVIEW, which we are sharing with you of her March Collection. Each month she comes out with new pieces most of the patterns are the same, as well as one size, but she keeps it interesting and unique by changing up the fabrics monthly.

P.S. They have a huge SALE rack too!
Also check out Kara’s other shop located next to Tumbleweed, Grasshopper. Grasshopper has plenty of adorable things for your little ones. Follow her blog!

Name: Mary Beers
Occupation: Stylist
Wearing: Brooklyn Industries sweater, Joie boots, BDG pants available at Urban Outfitters, Anna Corinna purse, and her boyfriends plaid shirt.
We spotted Mary on Alberta leaving lunch at Helser’s today. Her bright smile, colorful sweater, and not to mention her eye catching pretty woman boots, were enough to make our day shine even if it was raining. We also love that she is wearing her boyfriends plaid shirt, note to self steal boyfriends plaid shirts. This shouldn’t be hard for most women dating men in Portland, they LOVE plaid.
Mary Beers is a local stylist in Portland who we recently met while working on the local feature film “Bucksville”. She was a great sense of style and is so wonderful to work with! We are asking Mary to join the Scene PDX team so if you see her on the streets prepare to get your picture taken!

This past weekend local Portland Designer, Julia Blackburn of Dust, hosted a photo shoot for her new collection. Julia and her team spent the weekend in a cabin located just steps away from a beautiful river. The shoot took place outdoors under the safety of the forest trees. It was magical and we can’t wait to see the final outcome of the weekend in photos. Here are some behind the scenes images from the weekend.
